Description
  • Reports to work in clean uniform and wear safety shoes for Kitchen when shift starts. Ensure grooming and personal hygiene standard is adhered to.
  • Verify that all cleaning chemicals are properly stored, full and labelled.
  • Check and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, and storage areas to ensure they are within the safe range.
  • Inspect and clean all preparation surfaces, cutting boards, and utensils.
  • Reiterate health and safety guidelines and remind staff of their responsibilities
  • Preparing and assembling ingredients for menu items.
  • Preparing high-quality meals and food items according to company recipes.
  • Ensuring that cooking utensils are clean before each use.
  • Preparing ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning.
  • Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet company standards.
  • Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that food hygiene and safety regulations are followed.
  • Assist chefs at all station in the kitchen.
  • Help prepare ingredients and any other tasks as and when chefs require assistance.
  • Cook regularly move around the kitchen so they will assist different chefs.
  • Cook help carry and unpack deliveries of food & vegetables.
  • Ensure to conduct Stock rotate.ingredients need to be checked and used before their use-by date
  • Assisting in the preparation and cooking of food items according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Assisting in the plating and presentation of dishes.
  • Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Storing excess food at the correct temperature in order to avoid spoilage.
  • Cleaning and sterilizing food preparation areas.
  • Clean and sanitize all food preparation surfaces, equipment, and utensils, following the company’s cleaning protocols.
  • Label and rotate all leftover food items and store them appropriately following the “First In, First Out” (FIFO) principle.
  • Turn off and properly shut down all kitchen equipment, ensuring safety measures are followed.
  • Conduct a final walkthrough of the kitchen to ensure all tasks are completed and all equipment is turned off.
  • Secure all entry points, windows, and storage areas, and set the alarm system if applicable
    Job Requirements:
    Previous experience in F&B preferred
    Good communication and teamwork skills
    Able to work weekends, public holidays
    Positive attitude, well-groomed, and customer-oriented
