JOB OVERVIEW

Do you love to cook ‘soul’ food? Then joining the Wallace Retirement Living Team may be a good fit for you. Among other daily services, our senior living residences provide fresh and delicious home-made meals twice daily to our retirement communities. In addition to having skills in preparing, cooking, and presenting meals, we are seeking an individual that would work well as part of a team dedicated to maintaining a safe, comfortable, and family-like environment for our clients.
If you have a background in cooking and like the idea of being key in creating ‘our’ community, we would love to hear from you.
Job particulars: 2-week rotation: 36-hours week 1, and 27-hours week 2. Includes shifts every other weekend with every other weekend off (Fri/Sat/Sun).

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience as a Cook in a food service environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
