Cook who has completed an apprenticeship or who has passed the appropriate trade test or who has the appropriate level of training, and who is engaged to perform general or specialised cooking, or supervises and trains other cooks and kitchen attendant employees in the work activities as specified below, but not limited to the following: cleaning duties within a kitchen or food preparation area and scullery, including the assistance of cleaning of cooking and utensils used in a kitchen and restaurant; assisting other employees who are cooking; assembly and preparation of ingredients for cooking; pantry duties; stock control; creating new menus; always follow instructions and directives including Work Health and Safety (WHS), manual handling principles, COVID-19 health and safety measures, codes of practice, and food safety, to managers, supervisors and higher Grades, allocated for the purpose of your training; being correctly attired in the uniform provided; to be trained in on being courteous and hospitable to customers, visitors, and fellow workers; attend regular training sessions to achieve the competencies of higher level; attends performance review process of learning expectations to achieve the competencies of higher level; and assisting and training in ad-hoc tasks or as directed from time-to-time.
Skills required:
Minimum 2 years Sushi experience required.
Be able to make Nigiri, Roll and able to operate the fryer.
Be able to handle fish (salmon, tuna and king fish).
Able to work in a fast paced restaurant and under pressure.
Knife skills is a must.
