Job Description Prepares and plates delicious meals for our 50+ elders each day in accordance with planned menus, dietary requirements, and food safety standards Must possess a pleasant personality. Follow modified diets as required (e.g., low-sodium, diabetic, mechanical soft, pureed) Ensure meals are prepared and served on time and in appropriate portions Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen Properly store, label, and rotate food and supplies (FIFO) Monitor food quality, freshness, and temperatures during preparation and service Assist with meal planning and communicate supply needs to the Administrator or supervisor Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas after each shift Comply with all facility policies, safety procedures, and resident confidentiality requirements Work cooperatively with caregiving staff to support resident needs and preferences Requires the ability to work - and think - on your feet.
