POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Cook is responsible for dividing the food (breakfast and lunch) into serving dishes for classrooms. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; providing a clean safe and secure environment by cleaning the kitchen, sweep the floors, mop, windows, laundry, as well as maintaining positive relations and communications with families, partnership agencies and program staff. Ensures that the cleanliness of the kitchen meets program standards as well as Oklahoma Department of Human Service Licensing Regulations, N.A.E.Y.C. guideline, Oklahoma City/County Health Department and the Federal School Lunch licensing regulations. Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma. Must be at least 18 years of age. Possess a command of spoken and written English to serve as a language role model. Must be certified by the Red Cross in PR/CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid. Obtain Food Handlers Certification and update as needed. Follow Child Abuse Report Guidelines. Meet all Health Department Guidelines. Meet all Oklahoma Department of Human Service Licensing Regulations. Minimum of 6 months experience working in a kitchen. Excellent organizational skills required. Ability to provide a positive, nurturing environment for children required. Ability to be flexible in assignment and work hours. Ability to provide superior customer service required.
Responsibilities
