Job Details Job Location: Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri - SAINT LOUIS, MO 63146 Education Level: High School Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Job Category: Nonprofit - Social Services Position Summary The Cookie Cupboard Program Assistant will work with the Product Programs team and volunteers to provide support for operations of the council cookie cupboard. The Cookie Cupboard Program Assistant will assist volunteers picking up cookies, maintain inventory records, provide receipts for cookies, and keep the Product Programs team informed daily of any issues with inventory, product, or volunteers. Typical hours for operation of the cookie cupboard are 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on some Saturdays. This is a temporary, full-time on-site position that will work a variable schedule of up to 37.5 hours per week from February through March and could include early evening and occasional Saturday hours. The exact work schedule may vary dependent on Council needs and any potential employee needs for scheduling flexibility. The anticipated starting pay range is $15-20/hour. Essential Job Duties Take daily inventory of cookies Organize cookie inventory, stacking and moving cookies Pull cookie orders and stage them for pickup Count and verify cookie orders with volunteers Use mobile app to view, edit and verify cupboard orders Provide friendly customer service to all cupboard visitors Manage cookie booth kit check-in/check-out through the cupboard Promote a climate of courtesy, respect, and professionalism to staff, volunteers, members, and the general public Serve as a collaborative team member, working to advance the mission of Girl Scouts Perform other duties as required and/or assigned Qualifications Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Experience with the Girl Scout Cookie Program preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment Good attention to detail and ability to count precisely Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word Ability to provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers Strong organizational and time management skills Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee: Constantly uses repetitive movements to pull cookies and place onto carts. Constantly needs to move boxes weighing up to 25 pounds. The ability to observe details at close range and at a distance. The ability to operate a manual pallet jack to move cookie pallets. Work Environment Primarily works in a warehouse-like space with exposure to hot and cold temperatures and moderate noise levels.
