What You Will Do: The Cookie Cupboard Specialist supports the goals of the Product Program Department, helping to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness of the Cookie Program. How You Will Lead: Inventory management (taking an opening and closing inventory). Pull and fill troop cupboard orders. Reporting to the cupboard auditor at the end of each working day. Attending Cupboard training. Provide excellent customer service. Other duties as assigned to support the goals and objectives of GSCI. Follow and Support GSCI policies and procedures. Information Management- Accesses, organizes, and manages information effectively; maintains basic computer literacy with relevant software (i.e., databases, word processors and web management); keeps accurate and effectively organized records (i.e., spreadsheets or databases of donors, benefits, budget information, filing systems); seeks out and applies new technology in own program area to improve work processes. Technical Computer Skills - Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, customer relationship management systems, and social networking. Time Management - Manages time effectively; completes assignments in a timely manner; sets and balances priorities; simultaneously manages multiple tasks/projects. What We are Looking : High school diploma (G.E.D) with additional education and/or training. Experience with a volunteer workforce or membership organization is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Experience and sensitivity in working with people from a variety of backgrounds. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Demonstrate and promote a climate of courtesy, respect and professionalism to coworkers, the volunteers served by this council, and others with whom the job puts her/him in contact. Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends when requested. Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual, and predictable attendance. Must have reliable transportation, hold a valid drivers’ license, and meet GSCI driving record and automobile insurance requirements. Must hold membership in the Girl Scout organization and subscribe to the tenets of the Girl Scout Promise and Law. Must complete and pass a criminal background check. Requirements Physical Demands & Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Ability to perform tasks that require walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching and moderate lifting (typically up to 30 pounds). Ability to sit at a workstation for up to 2 hours at a time.
