JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking to fill 2 positions or possibly one for the right person. Bakery Assistant/Retail Manager and Cookie Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate/s will have a passion for baking with experience in cookie decorating and cake decorating. As a Bakery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our baking operations by assisting with food preparation, and managing our retail shop and stocking.

SKILLS

• Proficient in cookie and cake decorating techniques and presentation skills.
• Experience in food production and preparation within a bakery or culinary environment.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
• Background in baking, pastry experience, or culinary arts is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills to enhance the customer experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week

• Decorate cakes and pastries according to customer specifications and company standards.
• Package finished products for display and sale while ensuring freshness and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and bakery area.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met.
• Collaborate with team members to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and assisting them with their selections.
• Support food production processes as needed, including mixing ingredients and operating baking equipment.
• Keep retail shop stocked and manage employees schedules.
