The Abby Community School Society (ACSS) is looking for fun and motivated individuals to join their instructing team. We are looking for part-time program instructors who will lead our Cooking/Baking programs. This posting is for a Cooking/Baking Program Instructor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• (1-2 yrs) experience working in a kitchen/bakery with the ability to work independently
• (1yr) experience working with children
• Emergency Childcare First - Aid & CPR (Level 1) Certification
• FOODSAFE Level 1 Certification (mandatory)

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Fluent in both English & French

  Pay: From $17.85 per hour

• Preparing food and supplies before the program begins
• Washing/sanitizing utensils, dishes, tables and counter tops
• Preparing recipes and live tutorials for students
• Assisting students in cooking/baking
• Providing historical background of chosen recipes
• Providing first aid for minor injuries; cuts, scrapes, burns, etc.
• Creating a positive, welcoming, sterile, and safe environment for children
