Description:
The Downtown Family YMCA opened its doors in 1964 and has since been a landmark in the Downtown Boise area. The facility has a full court basketball gym, a large cardio fitness center, multiple strength training systems and rooms, racquetball courts, a climbing wall, five fitness studios, three swimming pools, and multiple youth programming areas.
The Cooking Class Instructor leads culinary classes for children and teens and creating a love for cooking, teaching, and inspiring young people to explore the culinary world. This position involves creating fun, engaging, and educational cooking experiences for youth, while also teaching them important kitchen skills, food safety, and healthy eating habits.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary education or certification is a plus.
- Previous experience teaching or working with children is preferred.
- A passion for cooking and working with youth.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene.

Responsibilities:
