Compensation: $68 per 60-minute session + $2 per student per session for ingredients (coach-provided)
Payment Terms: Bi-weekly (every other Tuesday) upon invoice submission

Schedule: 1 class per week; exact day and time will be determined during the interview

POSITION SUMMARY:

Kidzsphere is hiring a passionate and organized Cooking Instructor to lead a weekly after-school culinary class for elementary-aged students. The ideal candidate has experience working with children and enjoys teaching basic kitchen skills, healthy habits, and food creativity in a fun and safe environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience working with children (Grades K–6 preferred)
  • Background in culinary arts, education, or child enrichment programs
  • Must pass a background check
  • Reliable, punctual, and upbeat

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Food handler certification
  • Previous experience in after-school or group instruction settings

Responsibilities
  • Lead one 60-minute cooking class per week
  • Purchase and prepare ingredients in advance (ingredient budget: $2 per student per session, reimbursed through session rate)
  • Arrive at least 10 minutes early to set up materials
  • Teach basic cooking techniques, food safety, and nutrition
  • Manage student behavior and maintain a clean, safe environment
  • Submit attendance and short session updates to the Kidzsphere team
