Job Details Job Location: Abrasive Form LLC Bloomingdale - Bloomingdale, IL 60108 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Salary Range: $19.00 - $20.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: 1st Shift Job Category: Manufacturing Summary: Abrasive Form is a world leader in high precision Aerospace and Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) machining. We manufacture turbine blades and vanes for many of the largest gas turbine manufacturers and military around the world. We use high precision CNC milling, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and 3 and 5-axis creep feed and CBN grinding. We are hiring a full-time Coolant Tank Technician. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining the correct coolant concentration and coolant levels on our turning lines, maintaining coolant tanks, and ensuring that oil is draining properly. This is a 1st Shift position with a schedule of 6:00am-2:30pm Monday to Friday. Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required. Now Offering $1,500 Sign on Bonus. Responsibilities Perform daily/weekly checks of the coolant concentration. Maintain records of coolant concentration. Perform daily preventative maintenance checks. Replenish fluids on the turning machines. Carefully and safely remove and dispose of chips and shavings. Perform 5S activities throughout the day. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications and Education Required High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must have experience using floor scrubber. Knowledge of safety practices. Skill in both verbal and written communication. Ability to take directions and follow instructions. Ability to use hand tools. Ability to work in an independent and self-sufficient environment. other duties as needed. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. One year of experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Physical Demands Talking, hearing, and using hands to operate machining equipment. Ability to load parts into a machine at or above waist height. Must be able to lift at least 25lbs frequently and on occasion up to 50lbs. The ability to use a computer is preferred. Must be able to work on your feet in a manufacturing environment. Physical ability to do work requiring frequent lifting, twisting, standing, stooping, and bending. Working Environment Usual manufacturing environment with temperature fluctuations, noise from and interactions with equipment, and safety standards of PPE and practices required.
