JOB DESCRIPTION OBR Cooling Towers, LLC is hiring Cooling Tower Cleaning Technicians to join our team in the Orlando, FL region. We’re looking for motivated individuals who enjoy frequent travel and thrive in a fast-paced, on-the-road work environment. As a Cooling Tower Cleaning Technician (CTCT), you’ll play a critical role in maintaining and cleaning both package and field-erected cooling tower equipment. You’ll work under the guidance of OBR Foremen and Superintendents to ensure our systems operate safely and efficiently. ROLES/TASKS OF THE POSITION · Perform cleaning tasks with precision and attention to detail to ensure equipment quality. · Proficient in the safe operation of power washers, with knowledge of appropriate spray head selection and usage. · Follow instructions from supervisors to support safe, efficient, and timely project completion. · Uphold OBR’s standards of safety, efficiency, and quality throughout all phases of work. · Work diligently to maintain high cleaning standards without compromising project timeliness or safety. · Perform pre- and post-treatment activities, including accurate measurement of free chlorine levels in cooling tower circulating water. · Demonstrate professionalism, a positive attitude, and technical competence in daily duties. · Complete Task Hazard Analysis (THA) cards and other safety documentation accurately and on schedule. · Read, interpret, and apply information from Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS); practice proper chemical handling techniques. · Perform work at heights while maintaining 100% tie-off when above 4 feet. · Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Superintendent, Field Managers, Area Managers, or Foreman. PREREQUISITES & REQUIREMENTS Negative 10 panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test Valid Driver's License and proof of U.S. Citizenship Satisfactory background check Score of 2 or less in a DISA background screen OSHA 10 Certification (preferred) PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of this role, with reasonable accommodation provided as needed. Requirements include: · Lift up to 50 lbs., bend, climb, and stoop as needed. · Perform keyboarding/typing and reading from screens or paper. · Work outdoors or in plant environments with exposure to weather, heat, noise, and nearby hazardous chemicals. · Manage high workloads and multitask in a fast-paced setting.
