Uplifting Your Career at Ornge
We are looking for a motivated and driven student to join our IT team as a Co-op Student from September to December 2025.
As a Co-op student, you will work closely with our IT team and learn the ins and outs of the IT process at Ornge. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable IT experience in helpdesk and deskside services within a dynamic and fast paced environment. You will receive training and support to develop your IT skills.
Under the mentorship of an IT Technical Analyst, our co-op student will learn to provide local and remote 24/7 helpdesk, desktop, application, and end user support to all Ornge sites and employees to ensure technology is in place to enable Ornge operations.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide support for incoming incidents, problems and IT related queries.
- Assist with the administration and support of desktop infrastructure.
- Assist with Active Directory data management tasks, user and computer accounts, security and distributions groups, and application-specific attributes for Active Directory–enabled and integrated applications.
- Work closely with Analysts to maintain housekeeping and conduct periodic data clean-up.
- Will learn to enter problems into the ticketing system, resolve, and close calls.
- Learn about the collaboration between Ornge IT and third-party technical support to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems to fulfill business needs.
- Provides timely resolution to end user software incidents and connectivity issues.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program with a focus on Information and Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
