JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

Under direct management of the Division Director, Medical Staff Services, the incumbent provides services for the credentialing and privileging and database management functions of the Division Medical Staff Services Department (DMSS) including, but not limited to, Cactus file review for new applicants and re-applicants for membership and/or clinical privileges completed by the Credentialing Processing Center (CPC), updating the Cactus practitioner records in the Cactus database as appropriate, and utilizing HCA Healthcare tools for provisioning practitioners with appropriate access to HCA clinical systems and role based applications.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL NEED:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, Associate Degree or higher preferred
  • At least one (1) year previous credentialing experience preferred
  • HCA Healthcare credentialing and Cactus experience preferred
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist preferred

Responsibilities

  • Reasoning skills –Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
