Academic Services Division Provide team leadership, operational coordination and support across a range of business processes. Identifying and nurturing business enhancement opportunities within the University's student administration function. This is a full-time continuing position with salary in the range $102,565 - $111,686 (HEW7), plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. Based at our St Lucia campus About This Opportunity We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and self-motivated business administration leader with strong expertise in student administration. The Coordinator, Business Enhancement, provides leadership, operational coordination, and hands-on support for business process improvement activities, particularly digitisation and automation projects, led by the Office of the Academic Registrar. This role is critical to delivering efficient, high-quality student experiences while improving decision-making and operational effectiveness across the University’s student administration functions. Reporting to the Manager, Business Enhancement, you will have day-to-day responsibility for coordinating team activities and working closely with ITS and key stakeholders to support the successful delivery of technical solutions. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Coordinate the design of enhancement of business processes in consultation with subject matter experts. Plan, develop and coordinate testing activities to ensure solutions are thoroughly validated prior to implementation. Lead the business readiness and change management activities, including the development of training and support materials. Provide effective leadership and supervision of Senior Administration Officers within the Business Enhancement team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, service teamwork, service excellent and continual improvement. Build and maintain strong working relationships with ASD, ITS team and key stakeholders across the university. Monitor and report on system usage, volumes and uptake within the Academic Registrar’s information governance responsibilities, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures. Prepare updated reports to track benefits realised by Business Enhancement activities. Contribute to the development of a reporting framework to support evidence-based decision-making. Other duties as required. About You You are a highly organised and forward-thinking professional who can anticipate priorities, initiate improvements, and coordinate complex administrative activities. You are equally comfortable working autonomously and leading a high-performing team of administration professionals. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Proven experience in staff management, including workforce planning, performance management, and staff development. Well-developed capability in using University systems and software, particularly UniTask, SI-net, spreadsheets, and databases. Sound knowledge of The University of Queensland’s academic, student, and administrative policies and procedures, or the ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge. Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality. Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and implement new initiatives. High levels of professional judgement, including the ability to assess risk and recommend and implement corrective actions. Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills to effectively manage stakeholder expectations and maintain strong internal and external networks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally.
