Responsibilities

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The primary responsibility for the Campus Testing Coordinator (CTC) duties are to coordinate all activities as it relates to the State of Texas Assessment Program. This includes but is not limited to STAAR 3-5, STAAR Alternate 2, TELPAS, TELPAS Alternate, Field Test, and NAEP.
All employees of SISD are expected to act with integrity, support organizational goals, communicate in a clear and respectful manner, championing the needs of our students and drive continuous improvement.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Read all applicable manuals and resources and adhere to program guidelines and requirements as outlined by the Texas Education Agency.
  • Attend all district required state trainings.
  • Train campus staff on general testing procedures and security, for each specific administration, and accommodations as outlined.
  • Be able to complete all task in the Texas Assessment Management System.
  • Coordinate the planning and administration of the state assessment program including ordering and inventorying materials, oversee student registration process, designated testing support, receive and verify accommodation information, create testing groups, distribute all required test materials, prepare and create all testing documents, verify rooms meet guidelines and are ready for testing, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Coordinate the return of all testing materials according to state and district guidelines.
  • Assist in the completion, maintenance and storage all required documentation per state and district guidelines.
  • Considerable knowledge of the ethical guidelines applicable to the position as outlined by professional organizations and/or federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations.
  • Provide support to all campus personnel participating in the state assessment program.
  • Serve as a campus resource for all state assessment expectations and procedures.
  • Serve as the campus liaison to the District Testing Coordinator for all state assessment related matters.
