ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education or Sport Administration or an equivalent acceptable combination of education and experience. Standard First Aid, Basic CPR
  • Minimum two years experience planning, developing and implementing children’s sport and recreation programs for a diverse range of clients
  • Familiarity with the theories and legislation related to child safety and supervision
  • Minimum two years experience scheduling athletic programs
  • Experience providing oversight and guidance to casual employees
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Detail oriented

  • Determining logistical details and activities for events and/or programming
  • Resolving issues within the scope of the role and escalating problems as required
  • Implementing plans and process improvements for program activities
  • Fostering cooperative working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external contacts
  • Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriate
  • Coordinating the recruitment process and training of casual staff
  • Coordinating staff schedule to ensure proper coverage
  • Directing the activities of casual staff
