Department: Infusion Services Shift: Days Daily Work Times: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Scheduled Hours per Pay: 80 Position Summary: Responsible for overseeing the nursing plan of care for patients within the assigned specialty. Responsible to see that the nursing plan of care meets the physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patients served. Directs patient care through performance and/or leadership of subordinate personnel. Assists in the coordination of patient care through the appropriate utilization of all resources: staff, equipment, supplies, etc. As an expert in the assigned specialty, is a resource person to both medical center staff and physicians. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 1. Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the McLaren Health Care/Affiliate Vision, Mission, and Values. 2. Assures appropriate delegation and supervision of patient care. 3. Encourages, coordinates and reinforces efforts to improve processes for key activities to improve efficiency, productivity, services, and patient care. Engages in activities to enhance the effectiveness of the department and team. Required: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan. Possess minimum of 3 years related unit experience. Minimum 2 - 4 years of demonstrated leadership performance. Demonstrated experience in team building skills, self-directed work teams. Preferred: Certified in Unit Specialty Organization. Bachelors Degree in Nursing or Health Care Field.
