Overview Coordinator, Community Participation Supports Status: Full-time, 37.5 hours per weekSchedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:00 pmLocation: Camp HillPay: $17.50 per hour, up to $18.25 per hour with NADSP DSP certification(s) What We’re Looking For: 6 months – 2 years of previous Direct Support Professional (DSP) or Direct Care Worker experience Valid driver’s license with at least 6 months of driving experience 18 years of age Access to a vehicle with valid insurance, registration, and inspection Ability to communicate, read, write, and understand English Preferred: Associate’s degree or technical certification As a Community Participation Supports Coordinator, you’ll help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities build skills, connect with their communities, and participate in meaningful daily activities. You’ll plan engaging experiences, support personal growth, and encourage independence through real-life learning and social opportunities. What You’ll Do: Provide hands-on support similar to a Direct Support Professional role, assisting with daily needs, skill-building, and active participation in activities; must be comfortable providing direct care as part of the position Plan and lead activities that build communication, social, and everyday life skills Create weekly schedules that focus on individual goals, interests, and community involvement Support the development and progress of Individual Program Plans Encourage self-advocacy and help individuals make choices about their lives, relationships, and activities Help individuals build connections in the community by exploring local resources and opportunities Research and maintain community resources that support learning, engagement, and independence Why UCP?
