Job Description:
The Donor Services Coordinator plays a vital role within the Development team, overseeing donor relationships and facilitating the effective submission of grant applications. This position blends donor management support, grant research and writing, and administrative responsibilities to advance the Ontario Distribution Centre’s development goals.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Research and identify grant opportunities; assist in writing, submitting, and reporting on grant proposals to secure funding and ensure compliance.
  • Maintain detailed calendars and track deadlines for grant submissions, reports, and related administrative tasks.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors, supporting donor engagement and stewardship activities.
  • Handle donation processing, reconciliation, and coordination with finance and supply chain teams to ensure timely pickups and accurate records.
  • Assist with organizing donor site visits, meetings, and social media efforts to promote donor stories and increase engagement.
  • Provide broad administrative support including scheduling, meeting coordination, record keeping, vendor management, and support for fundraising initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote safe work practices among employees and volunteers.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

  • Completion of high school plus a post-secondary certificate or specialized certification in a related field; alternative education and experience combinations may be considered.
  • Minimum 2 years of frontline experience in grant writing, research, fundraising, and project management, with proficiency in donor management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create persuasive grant proposals and donor communications.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License and a satisfactory driver’s abstract are required.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, high integrity, discretion with confidential information, and a donor-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintain professionalism under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities.

Compensation:
The target hiring range for this position is $23.28 to $29.10 with a maximum of $34.92.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
