Overview of the Role
Reporting to the Saskatoon Quality Assurance Manager this position is responsible to Develop HACCP plans for Saputo Saskatoon. Ensures proper validation of the HACCP plans.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday (Day shift)

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Provide support for GMP, HACCP related training at plant level.
  • Ensure that agreed upon timelines for implementation are respected.
  • Participate and support the plant HACCP teams through the auditing (internal and 3rd party) and certification process.
  • Lead the maintenance and continuous improvement activities on the HACCP plans and Pre-requisite programs.
  • Responsible for the annual review of pre-requisite programs and HACCP plans.
  • Participate actively to Quality and Food Safety continuous improvement programs as a member of the QA team.
  • Ensure compliance to all quality and food safety policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement an effective quality systems audit to evaluate conformance to Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
  • Effectively work with manufacturing and maintenance personnel to identify, resolve and communicate any quality and food safety issues as they arise.
  • Analyze and effectively communicate quality measurements to plant personnel to drive improvements in areas of consumer complaints, foreign materials and product/process capability.
  • Ensuring that consumer complaints are investigated, and findings communicated in a timely manner.
  • Develop new SOP’s and forms.
  • Coordinating equipment installation, upgrades and plant trials.
  • Responsible to follow all Saputo health and safety policies and rules and provincial legislation.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts – watch out for each other.
  • Report defect in any equipment or protective device(s).
  • Ensure that necessary protective equipment is used for the assigned task(s).
  • Attend all training as required.
  • Report any accidents/incidents to your supervisor immediately.
  • Assist in investigating accidents/incidents.
  • Other activities as required
