SUMMARY: At a programmatic level, the Coordinator II at NEKCA supports their peers with service delivery in their area of specialty. The Coordinator II has additional responsibilities that may include mentoring, grant reporting, and ensuring smooth operations at service locations in support of the Program Manager. Utilizing a team-based approach, Coordinator II works to support programmatic needs to increase understanding and build capacity within the program. This position is for Coordinator II of the NEKCA Youth Centers within the Youth Advocacy Department. The Youth Center Coordinator II is an experienced Youth Center Coordinator who supports the team in programmatic operations, regional collaborations, data collection, and grant reporting in support of the Program Manager in addition to providing direct services. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: In addition to the Youth Center Coordinator's duties and responsibilities as outlined in that job description, Coordinator II supports the Program Manager in the following Duties and Responsibilities. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: •Oversee the Data Collection and Reporting for Youth Center Grants • Mentoring New Hires • Program Analysis and Development Core Competencies: • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to maintain good relations with participants, other staff, and members of the community. • Must have knowledge of basic computer skills and record keeping, including spreadsheet applications. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and database management systems. • This position is considered a mandated reporter. • Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-initiated, may need to work flexible hours (program dependent) • Demonstrate positive problem-solving skills in stressful situations. • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team. • Demonstrate familiarity with, and sensitivity to the challenges faced by low-income individuals, and some knowledge of the community and available resources to address them. • Maintain confidentiality. • Complete all required training and professional development. WORKING CONDITIONS: Employees in this position work primarily in an office environment with moderate noise levels and controlled temperature conditions.
