Qualifications: Education Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Education Preferred: Master's degree in a related field. Experience Required: 2 years' relevant experience. Must be able to pass the motor vehicle record background check. Position Specifics This role generally follows a 32-hour workweek. Standard hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional evenings and special events as needed. Full-time position. Nonexempt, hourly role at $27.87 per hour (approximately $46,373.45 annually). Position Details The Coordinator – Iowa Aftercare provides support to youth and young adults, ages 17–23, who are living independently in the community, including those who have aged out of foster care or other court-ordered placements. This role offers advocacy and care coordination, helping participants develop essential daily living skills, connect with community resources, and pursue education and employment opportunities. The Coordinator works closely with youth to foster stability, self-sufficiency, and successful transitions into adulthood. Core services provided include: Education: Guidance and support in pursuing higher education or vocational training. Employment: Assistance with job readiness, career development, and employment opportunities. Housing: Support in securing stable and affordable living arrangements. Health: Access to physical and mental health resources. Life Skills: Training in budgeting, cooking, time management, and other essential skills. Relationships: Helping youth build and maintain positive personal connections. Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance are required. Reporting to the Director – Community Violence Intervention, this position requires a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. As a member of Family Resources, you will have an EOS leader who: Gives clear directions. Ensures you have the necessary tools. Acts with the greater good in mind. Delegates appropriately.
