The role/Te mahi The University Library is seeking a Coordinator Library Service Delivery to join our Engagement Team. In this dynamic, customer‑focused role, you will coordinate day‑to‑day frontline library services across Robertson, Science, Law, Central, and Health Sciences Libraries - ensuring consistent,high‑quality experiences aligned with the Library’s Customer Experience Principles. You will guide and support Library Engagement Assistants and Student Ambassadors, help manage service point workflows, oversee daily operations, coordinate roster planning, and play a key role in optimising processes and ensuring welcoming, inclusive library spaces. This role is ideal for someone with excellent organisational skills, a passion for customer experience, and a collaborative mindset. What you’ll bring: Essential • Experience providing excellent customer service in a frontline environment. • Experience supporting or coordinating daily operations and team workflows. • Strong communication skills—verbal, written, online, and in‑person. • Ability to rapidly learn systems, software, and procedures. • Proven ability to build positive working relationships. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and confidence using technology in customer‑facing contexts. • Strong organisational skills with excellent time‑management and record‑keeping. • Understanding of cultural diversity and its importance within a library environment. • A commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. Preferred • Experience supporting or leading service improvement or UX activities. • Experience in the tertiary sector. • Familiarity with library management systems. • Comfort using te reo Māori in professional settings. On‑call responsibilities consist solely of being reachable for urgent matters and coordinating responses from home; attending the workplace is not expected. All on‑call work is compensated according to University HR policies. The appointment range for this role is $69,931 to $73,048, Top of Range $80,285.
