This role is responsible for assisting Wasserman China’s new media strategy in China. Day to day responsibilities will be split across sports marketing and social media/onlline sports media, including supporting the day-to-day needs of marketing services team members, agents, and clients to accomplish client related projects; support client relationships, and lead social media & media related projects. This person will need a startup mentality with social media and MCN agency working experience, with good experience working with influencers and social media platforms. Ideally, this person is a passionate, bilingual (speaking and writing), sports marketer with a service first mentality and comfortable working across the two halves of the Wasserman business requiring top notch communication and coordination skills. It will be a plus if the candidate understands pop culture and entertainment industry, with good connection with influencers and celebrities. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Communications and Social media: Great understanding of China’s media, PR and social media landscape and will be working with Wasserman’s social media and PR teams in the UK and USA to localize Wasserman’s corporate and client media footprint in China. Social calendar creation and social content planning for clients, conduct and manage social campaigns and data analysis daily contact with influencers and content quality control media & community partnership maintenance and year-round partnership project execution Client Management: Provide support for Wasserman clients (talent and brand) with their local market needs. Supports day-to-day schedules of clients, client service team, and agents, which includes appointments, travel logistics, interviews, family affairs, and marketing commitments. Supports client “off court” relationships and communicates with their agents, keeping them informed on their clients’ needs. Prepares invoices, expense reports, presentation decks, memos, letters, financial statements and other documents, using Word, Excel spreadsheets, or presentation software. Maintains department databases and generates reports as required. Talent may require additional support whilst in market including but not limited to full or temporary relocation support given market nuances. Work with team members to deliver the Wasserman standard of client servicing, positive relationship development, and robust project management. Experience in sporting events and marketing activations. Being able to support the execution Wasserman’s local marketing initiatives alongside Wasserman’s local partners often in partnership with remote teams in the USA and UK. Local Office Management: Responsibilities include: Operations - File keeping and other office management Business Development – Maintain local relationships, network and support local materials development (Sales and marketing materials) and translation services THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED 2+ years of agency experience within social media or MCN agency. Good relationships and experience working with influencers and medias. Bilingual candidate in both Mandarin (native) and English (native or fluent). Possess exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing in both Mandarin and English. Strong knowledge of photo and video editing software to create client bios and social content. North American or European undergrad or higher education background is needed. Self-starter and able to work independently with ability to adapt to changing situations. Strong attention to detail and highly organized. Requires self-management, including the ability to assess a situation and quickly implement solutions. Superior interpersonal skills and be able to create a rapport with people of all demographics and levels. Passionate and entrepreneurial, motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a skilled negotiator. Trustworthy, reliable, confident and mature in dealings with clients, people and issues. High level of initiative and works well independently and in a team environment. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able to multi-task and be flexible enough to react under stressful, event-time circumstances. Requires considerable flexibility in scheduling and the willingness to work nights and weekends, off-hours due to international communication. Ability to travel, domestically and internationally. High emotional intelligence and demonstrated ability to build strong interpersonal relationships. Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
