YOUR SKILLS & ABILITIES (REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS):

  • 2+ years of Manufacturing or Supply Chain experience.
  • Knowledge of material department operation, manufacturing processes, and departmental relationships.
  • Planning and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and solve complex issues.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience using MGO.
  • Knowledge of GMS standards.

WHAT CAN GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in a manufacturing (supply chain/logistics) space.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

As Material Flow Coordinator, you will be tasked with ensuring accurate inventories for Body/Paint/General Assembly material (inventory control process). The coordinator responds to and resolves all floor problems in the assigned floor area such as min/max conditions, standard pack discrepancies, packaging compliance coordination with the supplier, labeling, part misuse, and discrepancy reports. The ideal candidate has excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with others (suppliers/departments/teams).

WHAT YOU’LL DO (RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Ensures that all data/information for a flawless material flow are available and coordinates all other material flow activity
  • Participates in investigation of premium transportation issues
  • Supports BPD / Scorecard achievement
  • Internal Controls compliance for their functions
  • Works with material supervisors and assists stockmen
  • Communicate receiving process to unloading and receiving areas
  • Collaborate with suppliers, LLP, and plant floor on material issues
  • Monitors pull systems through periodic audits of receiving process, follow-up, and resolution of discrepancies
  • Responsible for “as required” material such as shims & wheel weights
  • Maintains all plant material records and investigates errors, gains and losses
  • Investigates part histories to identify misuse, specification problems, unaccounted scrap, or potential theft
  • Maintains ISO standards and implements, monitors, and maintains GMS elements
  • Assist with end of model obsolescence
