  The Psychiatric Milieu Coordinator is a licensed professional with advanced education, training, and experience related to behavioral health. The Milieu Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, supportive and structured environment for psych patients. This position will provide training and counseling for all staff on the psych unit to foster therapeutic communications and interventions.

EDUCATION

• Master’s degree required in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or closely related field. Bachelor’s degree required in same or related fields.
• Doctorate degree in Psychology or related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE

• At least 6 years of experience providing therapeutic interactions in a health care setting.
• Previous work experience that demonstrates expert clinical, teaching, and behavior modification skills.
• Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
• Licensed Professional in the State of Alabama - ATR-BC (Art Therapist Registered-Board Certified), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or other degree related credential.
  Location: Children’s of Alabama · Behavioral Health Inpatient Ireland Center
  Schedule: Full-time, Day shift, 8-4:3
