Our client in Buffalo, NY, is looking for a Coordinator of Accessibility Resources to join their team!

HOURLY BASED ON EXPERIENCE: $23-$25/HR

The Temporary Coordinator of Accessibility Resources supports students with documented disabilities by evaluating medical and psychological documentation, determining eligibility, and authorizing appropriate academic accommodations. This role involves managing in-class, coursework, and testing accommodations to ensure equal access to educational opportunities in compliance with ADA, Section 504, and institutional policies. The specialist collaborates closely with students, faculty, and external service providers and plays a key role in institutional reporting and oversight of accessibility resources.

EDUCATION:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in higher education, student support services, academic advising, or disability services

EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience managing accommodations and academic support for students with disabilities.
  • Background in coordinating testing centers, tutoring, or academic accommodations.
  • Familiarity with interpreting medical/psychological documentation and applying accommodations.
  • Experience in liaising with external vendors and service providers.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong understanding of ADA, Section 504, and higher education disability compliance.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Knowledge of assistive technologies and accessible software platforms.
  • Proficient in report writing and data tracking (preferably with experience in NYSED reporting requirements).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and lead training or presentations.
