Western Foot Patrol is a free service at Western University that assists in keeping campus a safe place to study, work and live. We are volunteer-driven service, and are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for students, faculty and staff. Our mission is to raise awareness of personal safety issues, deter crime through visible patrols and to provide safe escorts to community members. This proactive approach to safety focuses on “students helping students”, engaging student volunteers in the direct provision of services, creating a sense of ownership and responsibility.se this section to enter information about your Department.
EDUCATION:
Must be a full-time student at Western (enrolled in minimum 3.5 courses) and expect to retain full-time student status for the duration of this appointment.
EXPERIENCE:
This position requires excellent communication skills, including being effective in dealing with both volunteers, staff and people outside the Western Foot Patrol; along with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. The individual should be flexible and be comfortable and have experience in a leadership role. The individual must also be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and understand the concept of providing excellent customer service.
