Description

FULL TIME POSITION TO COMMENCE IN 2026.

Canterbury College is a high-performing, award-winning Anglican ELC to 12 school, serving the dynamic growth corridor of Logan, northern Gold Coast, the Scenic Rim and southern Brisbane. There is an unrelenting focus in the school on all-roundedness in our students, reflecting that academics, sport, performing arts, service and leadership are core dimensions of a Canterbury education.
We’re seeking a visionary and passionate Coordinator of Senior Pathways to take responsibility for the development, coordination, and oversight of pathway programs delivered both within the school and through external providers.
This role supports students transitioning from school to further education, training, or employment. The Coordinator works with parents, industry, and education partners to provide tailored support for students pursuing non-traditional pathways, such as Certificate III, IV, or Diploma qualifications, while completing their QCE at Canterbury.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver innovative, student-centred VET learning experiences across various delivery modes (on-campus, off-campus, online).
  • Coordinate and promote Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs, ensuring alignment with student interests and career pathways.
  • Supervise and support students undertaking VET studies, ensuring engagement, progress, and successful outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain industry partnerships to enrich student learning and career readiness.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Student Futures on events and presentations that promote VET opportunities to students and families.
  • Assist with enrolment, monitoring, and support for students involved in work experience, traineeships, and apprenticeships.
  • Liaise with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) to ensure quality, compliance, and effective program delivery.
  • Monitor student progress in collaboration with school leaders, ensuring timely interventions and support.
  • Provide tailored advice and one-on-one guidance to students and families exploring VET and alternative pathways.
  • Contribute to College communications by sharing student success stories and engaging in relevant professional networks.
  • Develop a culture of high expectations for all students by modelling appropriate dress, language, behaviour and communication practices.
  • Through the Communities of Practice (CoPs) teams, be active and engaged in sharing practice and raising the bar of student achievement.
