Your role at St John of God Midland Under the direction of the Director of Nursing and Midwifery, the Coordinator of Volunteer Services will lead the development, implementation, evaluation and promotion of Volunteer Services and programs across the hospital. You will be responsible for liaising with key stakeholders to develop areas of work and to ensure the delivery of effective, high-quality support from volunteers within the hospital. We are offering this position on a permanent part-time basis, working 21 hours per week. The Position Develop, implement and evaluate policies, procedures, job design/position descriptions and volunteer performance review and development system to support the SJG Midland Volunteer Program and comply with Volunteering Australia and Volunteering WA standards. Coordinate the recruitment, selection and orientation process of all volunteers in accordance with accreditation and legislation requirements. Maintain a register of volunteers and identify volunteer functions. Supervise, mentor and oversee general administration matters pertaining to volunteers as required. Establish and maintain an efficient and effective rostering system for deployment of volunteers. Maintain volunteer correspondence and coordinate communication mechanisms. Coordinates activities across the organisation for the annual National Volunteers Weeks, Thanks a Volunteer Day and Volunteers’ Christmas Party. Ensure the volunteer Code of Conduct and the Expectations and Responsibilities of Volunteers are upheld and action taken as appropriate. Manages resources within departmental budget. Develop and administer forms and records to document volunteer activities. You will bring highly developed communication and conflict management skills, along with demonstrated experience in recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers. Successful applicants will be comfortable working independently, exercising sound judgement to deliver positive outcomes while engaging effectively with a broad range of stakeholders. Experience coordinating volunteers within a healthcare setting will be highly regarded.
