JOB SUMMARY:

ZERO’s Coordinator, Peer-to-Peer Fundraising, is a vital part of the national Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Team. The Coordinator will deliver top-notch customer service and multi-tasking skills through their support of all of ZERO’s signature fundraising events, including the Run/Walk Series, Peaks Challenge, Endurance Team, and Fundraise Your Own Way program. ZERO is looking for someone who can juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, doesn’t fluster easily, and is able to adapt to changing priorities. The Coordinator will be responsible for managing ordering, setting up processes, and ensuring the success of all signature fundraising programs.

  • Knowledge of peer-to-peer (P2P) fundraising software

  • Consistently identifies opportunities for streamlining workflows and creating sustainable systems that enhance event effectiveness.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams/departments and with participants of all ages.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in peer-to-peer fundraising events or development
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all participants, donors and staff members

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in a customer service role or development within a nonprofit organization.
  • Familiarity with Asana, P2P Fundraising Platforms (Blackbaud TeamRaiser, Luminate, RENXT), CRM, Google Suite, and Slack.
  • Understanding of fundraising principles and donor stewardship

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Constant use of a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as computer printer, calculator, and copier.
  • The position requires a professional, quiet working environment free from background noise and interruptions, conducive to providing high-quality phone support to participants, donors, and stakeholders.
  • Prolonged periods of a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
  • The ability to recognize details at close range for extended periods of time.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Responsibilities
  • Providing excellent and quick customer service through our fundraising hotline and email accounts to external constituents.
  • Create detailed supply lists and ordering schedules for each event type, including but not limited to t-shirts, signage, event materials, and awards.
  • Research and recommend vendors for event supplies, negotiating favorable pricing and terms
  • Manage event supply budgets and track expenses against projections
  • Track shipments and coordinate delivery schedules to ensure the timely arrival of supplies
  • Ensure proper sponsor recognition through appropriate placement on all required event deliverables to include but not limited to logos on websites, shirts, marketing materials, etc.
  • Works closely with the Marketing team to approve and quality control email content on behalf of all signature peer-to-peer fundraising programs
  • Manages the Run/Walk outreach via Ringless Voicemail and texting platform to help retain past participants, and steward, encourage, and coach current participants
  • Secure event insurance for all peer-to-peer fundraising events as needed
  • Work closely with the Field Development and Marketing teams to understand all requirements and needs
