Job Description Your role on the MSNBC Program Strategy team will be integral in the successful implementation of MSNBC’s program schedules across multiple platforms. This individual will be responsible for ensuring all programming info is input and maintained in our scheduling system, executing any programming changes and communicating key scheduling information to various other teams throughout the organization. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Create, maintain and distribute MSNBC’s program schedules and all subsequent revisions. Set up/manage all metadata pertaining to MSNBC original series in internal systems and with external partners (i.e. Gracenote). This includes material ID numbers, titles, descriptions, talent, platform restrictions and graphics requirements for all broadcasts. Publish daily episodes of MSNBC series to all digital and TV everywhere platforms including set top box VOD and MSNBC desktop sites and apps. Monitor TVE/VOD platforms to ensure full episodes have been published successfully and troubleshoot any delays. Create, maintain and distribute program schedules for FAST channels under the MSNBC Program Strategy’s purview. Work closely with the Global Media Operations group, MSNBC producers, Marketing and PR teams to manage MSNBC’s program schedules, communicate any revisions and field questions. Maintain and update various scheduling documents used by the Program Strategy team. Become fully proficient in all Versant internal scheduling systems including Compass, GTM and Translator. Ad hoc special tasks and projects such as creation of presentation slides, ratings research and competitive tracking. Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
