ABOUT US
The joint venture between Atkins Realis and Aecon is under contract with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) to carry out the Extended Services Master Services Agreement (ESMSA). The Agreement involves supporting maintenance projects across Darlington, Pickering and Western Waste, in addition to life extension and refurbishment projects at Darlington.
The Project Coordinator is a highly motivated self-starter, reporting to the Project Manager and will be responsible for the coordination of engineering and construction work. This role will require continuous communication with all project team members, and will be responsible for identifying, planning and implementing various scopes of work, depending on business requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development, maintenance and closure of Comprehensive Work Package(s) in cooperation with quality, construction and engineering Coordinating, facilitating and driving project planning and execution
- Report on project performance, detect challenges to safety, quality, as it effects cost, and schedule
- Support project performance and forecast future cost and schedule performance including year-end forecasts and project estimates at completion
- Prepare and maintain project plans including risk, scope, contract, safety, and schedule milestones
- Prepare risk management plans with input from other project team members
- Monitor project risks against risk management plan, maintain risk register, and update as required
- Assist and develop integrated, logically tied, resource loaded project schedules which incorporate identified scope, risks, estimates/budgets and constraints that support effective project management and field execution
- Monitor field installation verses CWP, WPL and project schedules / work planning
- Recommend strategies to mitigate contract cost and schedule impacts of field execution delays such as redeployment, scheduling, and shift changes
- Coordinating and reporting of Non Conformance’s
- Plan and integrate projects and tasks with station Work control organization and processes
- Identify and coordinate stakeholders and stakeholder engagement, including station resources
- Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging
- Assist with cost monitoring and change management (PCN)
- Assist with project manpower requirements and coordinates manpower with appropriate trades and subcontractors
- Act as SPOC between field trades and design engineers for problem resolution and information flow
- Establish and maintain interfaces with other internal groups, subcontractors and suppliers supporting the project
- Develop, write and maintain detailed work plans in cooperation with construction leads
- Chairs project status meetings, maintains meeting minutes and action log
- Reviews project design and lead constructability reviews against project scope and related documents
- Interfaces with customers to provide project status reports and ensures customer needs are met
- Writes and reviews purchase specifications and subcontract documents
- Maintain high standards related to final product quality
- Develop and maintain project trackers and logs. Eg. FIC log, RFI, CWP tracker
- Coordinated project construction completion activities
