You will be at the forefront of driving the University’s research success, overseeing the full lifecycle of research grants and contracts, and ensuring our researchers are empowered to thrive in a competitive funding environment.   In this role, you will manage and inspire a high-performing team dedicated to supporting academic staff in securing research income. From guiding grant applications to negotiating complex contracts, you will provide expert advice and strategic oversight that ensures compliance with legislation, institutional policy, and funding body requirements. By liaising with granting agencies and research partners, you will safeguard the University’s interests while fostering collaborative relationships that open doors to new opportunities.   This is more than a management role — it is an opportunity to influence the trajectory of research at CQUniversity. Extensive knowledge of a range of research related policies, processes, budgets, and contractual obligations with the ability to provide senior advice and ensure adherence to legislation and funding body guidelines. Strong research, analytical, problem-solving, and planning capabilities, with a proven track record of developing strategies that increase research income and strengthen institutional competitiveness. Demonstrated ability to liaise, consult, and negotiate effectively with government agencies, funding bodies, research partners, and stakeholders at all levels. Proven management experience with the ability to lead a team to foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant area, and extensive management experience and/or equivalent education and training.
