VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT: COORDINATOR – ROTABLES (PROCESS PLANT) Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly motivated and committed employee for the position of Coordinator - Rotables (Process Plant) to join the versatile Maintenance team. This includes crushers, mills, pumps, gearboxes, motors, and other fixed plant components. You will ensure all rotable components are serialized, tracked, repaired, and returned to service in line with Barrick’s reliability, quality, and safety standards. The role requires close coordination with vendors, supply chain, planning, and reliability teams to ensure timely availability of components supporting planned shutdowns and maintenance activities. Your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Manage the end-to-end rotable repair and return process for all Process Plant components. Develop and oversee a 12-month rotable repair and replacement plan aligned with Process Plant shutdown and maintenance schedules. Coordinate with vendors for strip-and-assess reports and escalate delays or quality issues to the Superintendent. Work closely with the QA/QC Coordinator to verify that all repaired and refurbished process components meet Barrick and OEM standards. Oversee serialization of all components, ensuring traceability through engraving, tagging, and SAP documentation. Manage rotable yard standards for process plant components, ensuring correct storage, tagging, and segregation. Review warranty, BER, and recurring quality issues in collaboration with the Reliability and QA/QC teams. Prepare monthly engineering reports covering process component rebuild cycles, vendor performance, and repair costs. Collaborate with Reliability and Process Engineering teams to identify recurring failures and propose improvements. Provide technical input into rebuild specifications and shutdown reviews to enhance component performance. Identify and implement rebuild cost-reduction and process optimization initiatives. Ensure compliance with Barrick’s Zero Harm safety, health, and environmental standards. Promote continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork within the Rotables section. To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements: Minimum of full Grade 12 School Certificate Minimum 5 years’ experience in Process plant maintenance or rotable coordination. A Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent engineering discipline. Knowledge of SAP or other CMMS systems Technical reporting and data analysis experience Ability to interpret repair and failure reports and contribute to RCA/FMEA analysis Valid Zambian driver’s license Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ). Lean planning and supply chain knowledge will be an added advantage.
