Academic Services Division This is a full-time, continuing position with salary in the range $102,565 - $111,686 (HEW 7), plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. Lead the day-to-day operations of the student enrolments team, providing high-level support, staff supervision, and expert guidance on complex ESOS compliance and academic progression matters. Drive business process review and system enhancement coordination, ensuring the efficient and compliant delivery of high-quality advice and services across the university. Based at our St Lucia campus About This Opportunity Seeking a Coordinator, Student Enrolments, to oversee the day-to-day operations and service delivery of the team. This position is responsible for supervising staff, managing workloads, and leading business process review and design. You will provide high-level support on complex matters related to enrolment, ESOS compliance, and academic progression, ensuring the delivery of high-quality advice and services. Key responsibilities will include: Operational Leadership and Staff Management Manage the day-to-day operations of the student enrolments team, providing direct supervision, leadership, and guidance on policy and legislation. You will be responsible for conducting performance appraisals, identifying development needs, and designing comprehensive staff training programs to ensure high performance and service continuity. Process Improvement and System Coordination Identify, lead, and support business process improvements by analysing operational requirements and refining processes to streamline operations and optimise system use. You will plan and coordinate crucial system activities, configuration, compliance surveillance, and publications related to enrolments, ESOS, and academic progression. Compliance and High-Level Support Provide high-level guidance and support to the team and stakeholders on complex matters related to enrolment, ESOS compliance, policy, and legislation. You are responsible for assessing the impact of organisational, policy, and legislative changes on existing services. Strategic Reporting and Quality Assurance Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of detailed recommendations and reports to support decision-making on student matters. This includes analysing and interpreting data, supporting internal and regulatory reporting, and contributing to quality assurance and risk management processes. About You Essential Degree/qualifications with experience (or extensive equivalent experience). You have demonstrated expertise in staff management within a high-volume, service-oriented environment, including planning, organising, performance management, and staff development. Proven ability to develop and document business requirement specifications and procedures, including designing detailed process flows to support operational processes and solutions suitable for digitisation and automation. A thorough knowledge of relevant legislation and tertiary education policies relating to student enrolments, academic progression, and ESOS compliance (or the ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge). This is coupled with proven strategic thinking and analytical skills to conceptualise and implement new initiatives. High-level organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to work with limited direction and manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy. A high degree of professional judgment is required for risk analysis and recommending/implementing corrective action, supported by excellent communication and negotiation skills. Desirable Proficiency with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Business Objects, coupled with a background in student and academic administration within a university setting. You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment, and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
