QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary degree in a related field; experience with art and design education or creative practice an asset
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a program coordination role, preferably in a post-secondary educational setting; experience working in a university writing centre or student academic success unit preferred
- Understanding of diverse student needs and experience responding and providing information to students in distress
- Understanding of the barriers experienced by multilingual students in post-secondary education; multilingualism is considered an asset
- Demonstrated experience building relationships and collaborative partnerships across institutional and community contexts
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to respond effectively to multiple and changing priorities on a day-to-day basis; project management experience and training an asset
- Strong oral and written communication skills and experience writing and communicating with different audiences (e.g., faculty, staff, students)
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to develop effective administrative systems and processes in a team-based environment
- Demonstrated ability to exercise tact, good judgment, diplomacy and confidentiality
- Demonstrated commitment to the principles and practices of equity, accessibility and inclusion, and experience promoting a respectful work and learning environment for students, faculty and staff
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications; knowledge of Canvas learning management system and Adobe Creative Cloud applications an asset
- Flexibility to adjust hours and location of work to support programs and events outside of regular office hours and location
Compensation: OPSEU Unit 1, Appendix A, Grade 4; $31.59 to $41.52 per hour
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, for a total of 35 hours per week. This is a temporary contract expected to continue until May 19, 2025
Mode of Work: This position is eligible for hybrid work arrangements; however, a minimum of two to three days per week of on campus work is required with flexibility to adjust the days and times of work on campus to meet programming needs.
