Qualifications:
Required Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Special Needs/Disability Education, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related fields
Required Experience:
- 3+ years working in higher education or related experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborative relationships with students and colleagues
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plus
- Sound judgment, discretion, initiative, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a university environment
- Strong organizational, time management, and budget-tracking skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage scheduling, resolve issues, and communicate clearly in escalated situations
- Flexibility and adaptability in a changing work environment, including willingness to work some evening and weekend hours
- Effectively manage high caseloads and competing priorities, particularly during peak academic periods (e.g., start of semester, exam seasons), while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and student-centered care
Preferred Experience:
- Adobe/design experience
- Advanced MS Excel experience
- Self-sufficiency regarding technology and its uses
- Ability to make presentations in front of small and large groups
- Excellent communication skills
- Arabic language is highly preferred
