Responsibilities
Algoma University has an existing vacancy in the position of Student Services Coordinator, Timmins Programming. Reporting to the Associate Vice-President, Student Affairs, the Student Services Coordinator, Timmins Programming, is responsible for working in a collaborative environment and coordinating all on-site arrangements for the delivery of Timmins-based programming. Services include, but are not limited to:
- responsible for a wide range of services and initiatives necessary for ensuring excellent student service in the area of Student Success and Wellbeing, including academic advising, registration, payment, retention-related student support services, and tracking
- assisting with overall student experience programming, including, but not limited to, orientation programming, student experience events, recreation programming, and off-campus housing support
- responsible for the recruitment and conversion of applicants to Algoma University, Timmins Campus, in their assigned specialized area, as well as generally, with a focus on increasing diversity of applicants and students.
- The Student Services Coordinator is responsible for facilitating communication between Algoma University’s campuses in order to meet the needs of current and prospective students. This position will be front-line/front desk, student-centric, and service-based.
