Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a key member of the leadership team, you’ll play a pivotal role in guiding the operational and clinical delivery of AnglicareSA’s Suicide Prevention & Greif Support Services. This role is about more than oversight, it is about shaping compassionate, responsive care that reaches people in their most vulnerable moments. You will work closely with the Manager to ensure service excellence, compliance, and innovation, while leading a dedicated team to deliver outreach, psychosocial support that truly changes lives.
This is a full-time position, fixed-term contract until 30th June 2026.

You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:

  • Building strong partnerships with health networks and mental health services to ensure seamless, person-centered care
  • Leading and mentoring a team of professionals delivering outreach support to individuals at risk, fostering a culture of empathy and excellence
  • Coordinating critical incident responses and postvention support with sensitivity and professionalism
  • Driving professional development and wellbeing initiatives that empower staff and enhance service delivery

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work or a relevant Allied Health profession
  • Proven experience leading teams supporting individuals with complex needs, using a strengths-based approach
  • In-depth understanding of suicide safety planning, psychosocial care principles, and mental health systems
  • Strong decision-making skills in high-pressure situations, with the ability to manage risk and escalate care appropriatel
