Description POSITION SUMMARY The Coordinator of Talent Acquisition & HR is a hands-on member of Urban Dove’s Human Resources team, supporting the day-to-day execution of hiring and onboarding across the network. This role is responsible for completing assigned recruitment tasks with consistency, accuracy, and care, helping candidates move smoothly through each stage of the hiring process. In close partnership with the HR team, the Coordinator of Talent Acquisition & HR is expected to follow established workflows, maintain clear and timely communication, and carry assigned responsibilities through to completion. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Recruitment Operations Support the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned roles, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and offer coordination Maintain accurate and timely candidate records within the applicant tracking system (ATS) Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process Support recruitment campaigns, hiring events, and job fairs as needed Onboarding & Hiring Readiness Coordinate onboarding processes, including background checks, I-9 completion, and NYS clearance requirements Track onboarding progress and proactively escalate delays or issues Support Day One readiness by coordinating onboarding documentation and system access requests Ensure onboarding processes are executed consistently across campuses Compliance & Documentation Maintain organized and accurate recruitment and onboarding records in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Support audits and compliance reviews as needed Identify and escalate potential compliance concerns to management Data Tracking & Collaboration Maintain recruitment trackers, hiring data, and master staff rosters Track recruitment metrics such as pipeline status, onboarding completion, and time-to-fill Coordinate with hiring managers and internal HR partners to support timely hiring and smooth transitions Professional Development & Cross-Training Opportunities Engage in structured cross-training to build foundational knowledge of full-cycle Human Resources functions, including time & attendance, onboarding support, and HR systems navigation. Gain exposure to the broader employee lifecycle by partnering with HR team members on select operational processes, compliance activities, and people-operations projects. Develop transferable HR skills through hands-on learning opportunities that complement core recruitment responsibilities and support long-term professional growth. Participate in special projects and peak operational periods to broaden experience and understanding of how recruiting connects to overall HR strategy and execution. Receive coaching and feedback to support skill development and readiness for expanded responsibilities over time Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Education Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field Experience 2–4 years of experience in recruitment, human resources, or administrative operations Experience supporting hiring or onboarding processes in a fast-paced or multi-site environment preferred Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms Skills & Abilities Strong organizational and time-management skills High attention to detail and accuracy Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Professional discretion when handling confidential information COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Annual salary range: $53,000 – $60,000 Benefits: Urban Dove provides a robust benefits package designed to support employee well-being, including medical, dental, and vision coverage; retirement benefits with employer match; generous paid time off; paid parental leave; and employee wellness supports OUR MISSION: Urban Dove energizes, educates, and empowers young people through our network of UD Team Charter Schools serving over-age/under-credited high school students.
