POSITION OVERVIEW

The Coordinator to Director, Sundance Film Festival and Public Programming provides full administrative support to the Director, managing a complex schedule and all incoming requests, questions, and opportunities. This position also works closely with the Producer, Sundance Film Festival and Public Programming to ensure cross-departmental communication, especially with regard to Festival Planning and the distribution of critical information across the Institute.
Working closely under the Director and collaborating with staff across the organization, the Coordinator acts as a trusted liaison between the Director, all internal staff, and external constituents.
This full-time position may work remotely from within any of our operating states, but preference will be given to candidates based in the greater Los Angeles, CA; Boulder, CO; or New York, NY areas in order to work onsite as needed throughout the year. Extended hours, including evenings and weekends will be required at key points. Travel to other Institute offices or events to support onsite at Festivals, Labs, Public Programs will be required.

YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING DIRECT OR TRANSFERABLE SKILL SETS:

  • 2 years of experience providing high level administrative support to an executive or related.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
  • Exceptional business writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Project coordination skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion.
  • Proficiency in basic software programs such as MS Office and Google Applications.
  • Experience working directly with high-level donors or other high profile individuals preferred.
  • Interest in the arts and nonprofit administration and strong knowledge of independent film preferred.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
