L’équipe d’Ingénierie de la fabrication de chaîne d’approvisionnement est responsable de la gestion de la base de l’approvisionnement de Bell. Ceci inclut à la fois des efforts tactiques et stratégiques. Les efforts tactiques réfèrent généralement à une assistance technique pour des pièces spécifiques, des assemblages ou encore des programmes d’assemblages chez un fournisseur. Les efforts stratégiques sont des efforts plus généraux à l’échelle de l’entreprise, non spécifiquement liés à une pièce, un assemblage ou un programme d’assemblage chez un fournisseur. La mission globale est d’assurer la disponibilité des matériaux pour soutenir toutes les installations d’assemblage et de fabrication des entités Bell, tout en respectant les normes de qualité et de sécurité.

EXIGENCES DU POSTE / QUALIFICATIONS

  • D’excellentes compétences en communication sont requises. Un SCME doit être capable de créer et maintenir des relations efficaces avec ses pairs, les clients internes et externes, les fournisseurs, et de briefer les dirigeants/clients.
  • Une compréhension technique des processus d’assemblage mécanique/électrique, des outils ou de la conception, ainsi que des processus et assemblages composites non-métalliques.
  • La capacité d’identifier et de prioriser les tâches explicites et implicites afin d’accomplir la mission.
  • La volonté de prendre l’initiative plutôt que d’attendre que les problèmes viennent à vous.
  • Compétent dans l’utilisation de CAD pour visualiser des pièces.
  • Compétent dans les outils de productivité MS Office.

SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION

The Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineering team is responsible for managing the supply base for Bell. This includes both tactical and strategic efforts. The tactical efforts are generally technical support for specific parts, assemblies, or programs at a supplier. Strategic efforts are more general overall enterprise efforts not specifically related to any part, assembly, or program. The overall mission is to ensure material availability in support of all Bell Assembly and Manufacturing facilities that meets quality and safety standards.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent communication skills are required. An SCME must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with peers, internal and external customers, suppliers, and brief leaders/customers.
  • A technical understanding of mechanical / electrical assembly processes, tooling, or design, as well as non-metallic composite processes and assemblies.
  • The ability to identify and prioritize both explicit and implicit tasks in order to accomplish the mission.
  • The willingness to seize the initiative rather than wait for problems to come to you.
  • Proficient in using CAD for part viewing.
  • Proficient in MS Office productivity tools.
Responsibilities
  • Review and provide producibility feedback for new designs related to technical specifications to ensure supplier has the manufacturing processes and capabilities to produce quality parts that meet specifications
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve supplier related technical issues both at Bell and at suppliers by reviewing manufacturing processes as well as design requirements and providing technical expertise to aide in process and quality improvements.
  • Identify and resolve technical capability gaps in Bell’s supply base by reviewing existing Bell supply base and potential new supplier technical abilities and processes.
  • Review root cause corrective action for supplier material discrepancy submittals.
  • Studying requirements for production process and product at hand, and determining the most efficient operations based on these requirements and sharing that expertise with internal customers and external suppliers
  • Provide technical / manufacturing Engineering interface between Supplier manufacturing and Bell program Engineering to ensure producible designs
  • Provide technical expertise on the design on machines, equipment, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
  • Work with suppliers to develop and execute plans to address technical issues related to a supplier’s performance.
  • Consult and work with suppliers that may include design interpretation, defect root cause analysis, production methods, processing, tooling, inspection techniques, etc.
  • Assist the buyers to find solution when needed in the case where Bell is not getting the supplier’s parts on time to support our operations.
