OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in technical support and equipment repair, demonstrating proficiency in troubleshooting software and hardware issues. This role involves field service responsibilities, requiring the technician to work directly with clients to ensure optimal performance of their systems and equipment, both locally and remotely.
Should enjoy an occasional fly out service call to remote Alaska, and be able to pass a government facility clearance, for military bases, mines and other clients requiring such.

SKILLS

• Proficient in software troubleshooting techniques and methodologies.
• Experience in field service roles with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Skilled in using hand tools for various repair tasks.
• Previous service technician experience is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of computer hardware components and functionality.
• Ability to read schematics accurately for effective problem-solving.
• Expertise in equipment repair across various types of machinery and technology.
• Knowledge of computer networking principles and practices.
• Solid mechanical knowledge applicable to a range of devices and systems.
• Familiarity with IT processes and support functions is advantageous.

• Perform hardware and software troubleshooting to resolve technical issues for clients.
• Conduct field service visits to install, maintain, and repair equipment on-site.
• Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment for repairs and installations.
• Apply service technician experience to diagnose problems efficiently and effectively.
• Work with computer hardware, ensuring all components are functioning correctly.
• Read and interpret schematics to assist in the repair process.
• Execute equipment repair tasks while adhering to safety standards and protocols.
• Engage in computer networking tasks, ensuring connectivity and performance of systems.
• Leverage mechanical knowledge to understand the operational aspects of various devices.
• Collaborate with IT teams to address complex technical challenges as needed.
• Work with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications for repairs and maintenance.
• Willingness to help where needed throughout the small office.
