Atlas Factoring is seeking an experienced accountant to join our team in the role of Assistant Controller. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and proven experience as an accountant, with a strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting.
The Assistant Controller performs a variety of highly responsible accounting, financial planning, analysis, and reporting tasks and ensures compliance with regulations and accounting guidelines.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, maintain, and enforce accounting policies and procedures.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including credit, underwriting, payables, and receivables, including collections.
  • Reconcile daily cash operations.
  • Manage and maintain the financial ERP.
  • Provide control of daily factoring and lending activities, including operation and process audits.
  • Present and communicate effectively to both the executive leadership team and the broader group.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • CPA certification is desirable.
  • Proficiency with accounting and financial (ERP) software, specifically.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, along with professionalism and diplomacy with internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and other software).
  • Ability to recognize problems, strategize, and problem-solve.
  • Previous experience managing an accounting team/department.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
