OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide individual, family and group therapy, conduct assessments, and develop treatment plans to support the mental well-being of our clients. This position requires a deep understanding of various psychological theories and therapeutic techniques, as well as a commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all clients.
As a 1099 contractor with us, you’ll have the autonomy and flexibility that come with independent practice, while we take care of the administrative logistics. From scheduling and billing to client onboarding and support, we handle the behind-the-scenes work so you can focus on what you do best: providing quality care to your clients.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work in an active environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • High level of discretion and judgment.
  • Detail-oriented and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Previous experience working with children is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited educational institution in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field (required).
  • Provisional Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP)or
  • Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) or
  • Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP)
  • Must hold the required mental health credentials and licensure as required by the state of Nebraska.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluating and assessing the bio-psycho-social needs of patients.
  • Assisting in determining the most appropriate level of care for the patient and making appropriate referrals when indicated.
  • Developing comprehensive treatment plans following policy and procedures.
  • Providing supervision to clinical staff as needed (LIMHP/LMHP).
  • Documentation that reflects progress toward goals as established in the treatment plan.
  • Actively participates in clinical and peer supervision to ensure quality of care and professional performance standards.
  • Completing all required documentation within the required time-frame.
  • Provide flexible hours per week of direct patient care services (via a combination of intake evaluations, individual and group-based therapy programs) during weekdays - most of which will be scheduled in the afternoon and early evening hours.
  • Address patient concerns.
  • Ensure quality of care consistent with Behaven Kids policies, procedures, and relevant accrediting bodies.
