Sébastien Schikora - Chief Technology Officer
Hi there!
I’m Sébastien Schikora, and I’ve been driving tech innovation as CTO at Entrix since June 2022 and Flexa since February 2024. My career has been a mix of exciting challenges and opportunities, with a strong focus on transforming the energy industry and reshaping how electricity grids work and the best is yet to come.

Here’s a quick snapshot of my journey so far:

• CTO at KONUX (2018–2022): Shaped the company’s tech vision, built world-class products, and scaled technology to solve big problems.
• Senior Manager at Tesla (2015–2018): Led the charge in developing cutting-edge energy storage systems and seamless mobile experiences.
• VP of Product Development at NES Corporation (2014–2015): Helped launch a new company and product line, disrupting grid digitalization.
• Echelon Corporation: Spent six years driving innovation in grid modernization and smart metering, from product management to development leadership.
• Hewlett Packard: Before diving into energy, I spent over a decade refining enterprise software solutions.

Having spent most of my career in Silicon Valley, I bring a mindset that’s all about pushing boundaries, moving fast, and creating meaningful impact. Now based in Munich, I apply that same energy to building teams and driving innovation here in Europe.

With our AI-powered fully automated optimization and trading platform for flexible energy assets from grid-scale batteries to virtual power plants, we ensure that energy is stored when it is abundant and released into the grid when it is needed. At the same time, by actively trading electricity, we counteract strong price fluctuations that green energies entail. Figuring out how storage provides the best value to the electricity grid and the highest returns to asset owners is how we accelerate the transition to a clean energy future

• Design, build and maintain our data lake, data warehouse and data pipelines
• Collaborate closely with data scientists to enable the deployment of world-class optimization and machine learning models in production
• Work with other engineering teams to address data infrastructure challenges and establish a unified data model across the company
• Support leadership in defining our data strategy, developing our data technology roadmap, ensuring the continuous adoption of best-in-class data tools
