Serving a population of over 1.5 million people, CCBC works with thousands of generous blood donors and local organizations to collect blood throughout the Central Valley and provide those vital blood products to our network of 30 hospitals and healthcare organizations throughout Fresno, Madera, Tulare, Kings and Mariposa Counties. To accomplish our mission, we’re looking for mission-driven, passionate, caring and committed team members. FLSA Status: Full-time, hourly (non-exempt) Schedule: Flexible shifts, including weekends and some holidays (on a rotating basis). Typically scheduled 40+ hours per week with two consecutive days off. Pay Rate: $19.50 - $21/ hourly (DOE) Location: Based at one of our Donor Centers or on mobile blood drives throughout the Central Valley Reports to: Operations Manager/Assistant Operations Manager Job Summary At CCBC, every blood donation starts with a great donor experience. As a Donor Services Specialist, you’ll make every donor feel welcome, safe, and appreciated—because how we care for people matters just as much as the lifesaving work we do. No experience? No problem. We provide paid training to teach you how to perform all types of blood collections, including whole blood, double red cell, platelet, plasma, and other automated procedures. Essential Job Duties Donor Experience · Make every donor feel welcome, relaxed, and appreciated from check-in to post-donation · Explain the donation process and answer questions with patience and clarity · Educate donors on the different types of donations and help them select the right option · Reschedule future donations and encourage ongoing participation · Keep the environment calm, friendly, and team-focused—even during busy moments · Support donors if they feel unwell or have concerns · Be a familiar, trusted face that keeps donors coming back Clinical Responsibilities · Perform donor health screenings with care and accuracy · Ensure donor confidentiality · Develop blood draw techniques that prioritize comfort and safety · Verify donor identity and label blood products accurately · Enter donor data correctly into our system · Prepare, clean, and maintain equipment and supplies · Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant workspace · Follow all procedures to meet regulatory and quality standards Team and Operational Support · Be punctual, dependable, and ready to support your team · Participate in ongoing training and skill development · Be flexible in traveling to other CCBC locations or mobile drives as needed This list of job duties and requirements is not all-inclusive.
